His Right Honour. Dr. Hassan bin Lahdan Alhassan Almohanadi was appointed as President of the Court of Cassation and President of the Supreme Judicial Council by an Amiri order on 4/11/2018.
HR Dr. Al Mohannadi holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Southampton, UK, and a BA in Law from Cairo University. HR is married and has four children.
His Career
 
In 1989, he joined the judiciary as an assistant judge in the Qatari courts.
 
In 1998 he was promoted to the rank of a judge in the Court of First Instance.
 
In 2001, he was assigned as Director of the Legislation Department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
 
In 2002, he was appointed as Director of Legal Affairs at the Amiri Diwan.
 
In 2003, he was appointed as Assistant Head of the Amiri Diwan for Legal Affairs.
 
In 2013, he was appointed Minister of Justice. In 2017, he was also assigned to carry out the duties of Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.

Career Achievements

In 2001, he supervised the establishment of the Legislation Department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and from this position, he supervised the preparation of a large number of important pieces of legislation.
He was a member of the Committee for Harmonizing Qatari Legislations with the provisions of the Country’s permanent constitution.
He supervised the preparation and development of legal training programs for judges, public prosecutors, legal affairs specialists from public employees, and lawyers.
He led digital transformation projects for legal, judicial, and procedural documentary presentations of state laws, provisions, regulations, and procedures. In the same context, the same methodology is currently being developed for courts within the pione
