The Information Systems Department has the following powers and duties:

  • Studying, proposing and implementing information ​projects and solutions for the automation of work.
  • Providing and maintaining the required hardware, software and electronic networks for automatic work systems at the Council, in coordination with the relevant administrative units.
  • Regularly evaluating the applied information systems and work on improving their performance.
  • Providing central statistical data and working on developing applied programmes to enable every department to extract their statistical data.
  • Managing, preparing and updating databases on their servers and ensuring their maintenance and operation.
  • Programming, saving, retrieving and developing the required information and data systems for Council activities.
  • Providing the required technical support to users of electronic networks at the Council, and training them in using the systems, software, hardware and accessories.
  • Archiving, organising and filing court documents using software in such a way as to facilitate reference to them.
  • Organising the viewing of files and documents, in coordination with the relevant administrative units.
  • Managing and updating the Council website.​
