H.E. Mr Masoud Mohamed Al-Ameri, President of the Court of Cassation and President of the Supreme Judiciary Council signed a memorandum of understanding with H.E. Mr Mustafa Ramid, Minister of Justice and Liberties and H.E. Mr Nizar Baraka, Minister of Economy and Finance in the Kingdom of Morocco. The MOU covers the declaration and organisation of financial assistance to be provided by Qatar in the construction project for the new headquarters of the Judiciary High Institute, which is one of the world's oldest judicial institutes, where courses on the basic constitution and specialised training of judges and jurists from Morocco and other Arab countries will be held.
Furthermore, the visit of H.E. President of the Supreme Judiciary Council to Morocco included meetings with the Senior President of the Court of Cassation and the King's Public Prosecutor to discuss aspects of cooperation and coordination in judicial and legal fields, agree on joint annual cooperation programmes for training judges and court assistants, exchanging visits and holding various seminars at the level of judges of the courts of cassation in both countries. The signature of the MOU was attended by the Senior President of the Court of Cassation, the King's Public Prosecutor and a number of judicial authority officials in Morocco, and by H.E. Mr Abdel Aziz bin Abdel Rahman Turki Al Sebaiei, Ambassador of Qatar to the Kingdom of Morocco and the delegation accompanying H.E. President of the Supreme Judiciary Council.
