The Administrative Services Department has the following powers and duties:

  • Providing and allocating administrative buildings of the Council and mainta​ining them.
  • Setting maintenance plans, programmes and arrangements for furniture and equipment.
  • Establishing security and safety plans in all the buildings of the Council and managing their implementation.
  • Supervising cleaning works in all the buildings of the Council.
  • Receiving, classifying and recording incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Organising the Council's archive and filing documents according to the latest methods.
  • Undertaking all administrative service activities.
  • Organising work in the warehouses of the Council and meeting the needs of different administrative
  • units to ensure materials are provided as and when they are required.
  • Providing office services and furniture for all the buildings of the Council.​​
